With over thirty five years of experience in customizing habilitation programs for children
and young adults with complex challenges, Dr. Blau and Associates have worked with an enormously comprehensive range of clients
and age ranges. As each client served is unique, and many people have multiple challenges, the term "population" is somewhat
illusive. In addition, with the advances in diagnostic techniques, the list of challenging conditions grows continuously.
However, an example of some of the more traditional diagnostic terms used by the medical or educational communities serving
our clients, include neurological impairments, seizure disorders, language and learning disabilities, mental retardation,
cerebral palsy, the autism spectrum, muscular dystrophy and other degenerative disorders. Do note though that,
whereas a "diagnostic label" may be helpful, it is never used to limit our goals in identifying an individuals unique challenges
and potential.
